University of Nairobi held a three-day intensive Hackathon of Trainers on Innovation . The training took place at Wangari Maathai Institute from  February , 26-28, 2024 . UON  students and staff from different faculties  were  trained   on how to mount, manage and run hackathons.

The Hackathons training comes days before the 8th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week 2024 that will be held on May 8-10, 2024. The theme for this year’s Innovation Week is, ‘Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem through Government- Industry-Academia-Community linkages for Sustainable Development.
